At last weeks AGM Ian Chapman stepped down from his role as Chairman of Greetland Football Club a role he has held for 8 years.

During his time as Chairman Ian has overseen huge developments and progress at the club both on and off the field. Off the field Ian was part of the working group that successfully set up the Golds organisation to take the lease for Goldfields from the council and also was part of the committee that helped establish the partnership with Brooksbank school to allow funding for the 3G pitch which the club now use. On the field Ian has had involvement with growing girls football at Greetland, starting with just a couple of teams a few years ago the club now has over 200 girls players registered to play with teams in nearly all age groups up to the senior team.

These are only a few examples of the unselfish work that Ian has led during his time as Chairman and he leaves the club in a strong position to push on as one of the leading grassroots football teams in the area.

Ian will be staying on at the club for a few more years as a committee member but we would like to publicly thank him for all of his time and effort over the years. Ian is pictured at the AGM receiving a trophy for his hard work and dedication to junior football in Greetland.
